We attend proffesional deveopment each year to help us better meet the needs of every student.
I started my career at VPS in 2009. I teach special education for grades PK-8.
My teaching career probably started a little different than most, I was a corporate trainer and later a senior corporate trainer at Tyson Foods. I facilitated leadership and management courses for all levels of management. My team developed a new corpoarate orientation and helped plant location trainers use best practices to teach new team members.
For a short time I was also training manager at Cherokee Nation Industries doing many of the same things.
These experiences have enriched my teaching tool box to better collaborate with other teachers and administrators to better serve our students.
I continue to attend proffesional development to hone my craft and I am a member of the new Oklahoma Special Education Consortium.
I have one son, Cruz who is proud Wolverine Freshmen this year. He plays football and wrestles for the Wolverines as well as Freestyle and Greco. When he is not at church, school, or sport, he works and helps coach tiny Wolverine wrestling (ages 3-5).
We have 2 dogs- Lucky and Captain Woodrow F Call. We have a few cats as well, and a stray pig we share with the neighbors named Lulu.
I am a sponsor of Vian FCA which meets weekly (Wednesday) in the gym @ 7:30 am
We attend Cornerstone Fellowship in Tahlequah OK (Sunday @ 10, Wednesday @ 7)
I’m president of the VIan Wrestling Club (youth and jr hi wrestling start in November and high school starts in December).
With any free time and money after these activities I love to travel and have adventures with my son.
