Rogers State University is starting to use a new scholarship program called Raise Me.  It is a free program that allows students the chance to earn scholarship money for the things they do now in high school (things like making an A in a class, taking an AP class, or doing community service).  They can create a free account and start earning right away from Freshmen year on (Older students can go back and put in information from their entire HS career as well).  It is a great way for them to see that what they are doing now really can help them and makes a difference.  It is also a guaranteed minimum amount of institutional scholarship they can earn from RSU (it will go on top of any federal aid). Requirements:

  • Students must have at least 10 hours of community service

  • Students must write a 500 word essay

  • Complete the application

The OSIG Scholarship is now open. The scholarship will be awarded to 3 graduating high school seniors from each quadrant in the state of Oklahoma.   Selection is based on academic excellence, leadership in school activities and/or work experience and community service. Each applicant must be a graduating high school senior and must complete the OSIG scholarship application by the deadline. If you are interested please see Mrs. Garner for an application.

The $500 scholarships are awarded to high school seniors whos parents or guardians are memebers of cookson Hills Electric Cooperative. Othercriterai inculde:

  • Good character
  • A GPA of 2.0 or better
  • Good citizenship
  • Financial need
  • An ambition to obtain futher education

If the applications are in Mrs. Garner’s Office. The applicaion must be completed and turned into Mrs. Garner by March 1, 2018.

Bring a Buddy on the 1st Thursday of December, January, February, March, and April. Buddy must be in  9th-10th grade. For more information, see Mrs. Garner.
